FarmVille goes universal with iPad support

Agricultural time waster FarmVille has received an update to make the app universal, bumping the graphics up to HD and retooling the interface for iPad users.

Universal apps are those that work on both iPhone and iPad, and choose the right set of graphics to fit the device its running on.

As well as giving wannabe farmers a grander view of their self sufficient gold machine, the interface has been tweaked and moved to fit the larger screen. Panels like your buddies and tools are slapped across the tablet’s sprawling screen, instead of hiding away in menus.

The update’s not just for iPad owners, though. All devices get some bug fixes, stability improvements and shorter load times, as well as access to the Super Combine: a jack of all trades “Swiss Army Tractor” that combine the game’s fleet of vehicles into one mega machine.

The update, much like the game, is free. You can fork over real life cash for in game currency, if that floats your boat.
