Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit coming to iPhone this November

An eagle-eyed observer at the Touch Arcade forums has got his hands on an EA slideshow still confirming that the company’s upcoming console racer is heading to iPhone too.

Hot Pursuit, developed by Burnout creator Criterion Games, brings the car-smashing takedowns of Paradise City into the law-avoiding fast lane of Need for Speed.

The iPhone edition features 20 real world cars, and each vehicle features a police doppelganger version. They’ll be racing in three different environments, with high octane events taking place in coastal, desert and mountainous areas. There are six tracks to each area.

There, you’ll compete in 48 events, split evenly between cops and robbers. If you’re a bad dude, you’ll be running from the law. If you’re a badge, you’ll be hunting down the perp. Simple as that. You can also take the rivalry into multiplayer, with one on one showdowns.

Finally, we also know that the game features Retina visuals, and will hit iPhone and iPod touch in November. Vroom vroom.
