Rumour: PSPgo to get price cut in North America on October 15th

We occasionally get accused of bias here at Pocket Gamer Towers, usually due to a throwaway comment that sticks in a fanboy's craw.

However, when it comes to the PSPgo our feelings are fairly well-established. Sony’s overpriced, digital-only device is essentially a PSP without the ability to own your games and which forces you to pay considerably more for digital downloads than you'd have to pay for UMDs.

One of these complaints is about to be addressed if a new rumour is to be believed. A leaked retail sheet from an Army and Air Force Exchange Service store in the US suggests though that the oft-ragged upon device will be getting a price cut – a $50 reduction to $199.99.

No word on the validity of the rumour from Sony, nor if this will be a worldwide price cut or just a localised deal, but we won’t have long to wait to find out - the leaked sheet puts the date for the reduction as the 15th of October.
