Glu’s cartoon brawler,Super K.O. Boxing 2 is now free as part of OpenFeint’s Free Game of the Day initiative.
Super K.O. Boxing 2 is a comedic cartoon fighter, very much in the style of the old NES and SNES series Punch-Out in that the action is viewed from behind your character, The K.O. Kid.
There are 15 unique fighters to battle past, each with their own particular moves and ‘tells’ (so you know when to get out of the way of a flaming fist of pain) as well as a wide-selection of moves for your own pugilist to hammer out.
The three game modes on offer vary between the standard career mode, called Circuit in this case; Challenge mode, which sets 16 specific targets for the more advanced fighters to beat; and Endurance mode – for those who don’t want to be stopped from punching.
Super K.O. Boxing 2 picked up a Pocket Gamer Bronze Award last year, with Tracy calling the game ‘stylish’. You can download it for free by clicking the App Store button below.
