While the hip new rumour is that Apple’s making a 7-inch version of the iPad, for Samsung it’s now the exact opposite.

According to a news story regarding the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab’s Irish carriers, the company has apparently let slip that a 10-inch edition is on the way.

Local general manager Gary Twohig causally let slip that the company is planning a 10-inch Android tablet for the first half of 2011. The device will allegedly also use the V8 Javascript engine, which came with Android OS version Froyo.

Those Irish operators are O2, Vodafone, 3, and Meteor, with Carphone Warehouse selling the device.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is expected to go on sale in Europe before the end of October. It’s got two cameras, Android 2.2 and a storage of 16 or 32GB.
