Samsung Galaxy S to get FroYo update this month on T-Mobile

Samsung Galaxy S to get FroYo update this month on T-Mobile

While iPhone users have their antenna issues and Windows Mobile 6.5 users have Windows Mobile 6.5, the chief bugbear for Android owners is the tardiness of their OS updates.

FroYo (version 2.2) feels like an old version of the Android operating system already, but a lot of people out there still don’t have it. Which is infuriating when you want to start loading your hefty game files over to your expanded memory.

Good news for Samsung Galaxy S-owning T-Mobile UK customers: FroYo will be with you by the end of the month.

The operator posted the following announcement on its discussion board:

“We are pleased to announce that there will be a software update for the Samsung Galaxy S at the end of the month. This will update your phone software to Android 2.2 and will be available through the Samsung Kies PC application.”

Any other network operators fancy sharing their FroYo plans with us?
