It's been a busy week for Rovio, the developer of Angry Birds.

Not only did it announce its new Mighty Eagle smart bomb in-app purchase at Nokia World 2010, but it's submitted an update for iOS devices, which is says should be available 'very soon'.

It doesn't include the Mighty Eagle - that's due next - but it does add Game Center support so you can see how you compare against all other Apple Angry Birds players, both globally and in terms of your friends on Game Center.

No data breach

Rovio has told us that all achievements recorded via the game's first social network Crystal will be automatically copied over to your Game Center account, which sounds like a tricky technical task, so we're keen to see how it happens.

In addition, the new update - which is called Pig Fat - will add support for iPhone 4 and the new iPod touch's Retina display, 15 new levels, a Golden Egg sounds board, and localisations for English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese users.
