The iPhone and iPad smash Fruit Ninja is out now on Android.

The game sees you slicing items of fruit as they get lobbed across the screen, avoiding bombs in the process and trying to "combo" multiple items simultaneously.

Simple touchscreen controls (you swipe across the screen to slash) and satisfyingly juicy graphics have led to the app breaking a million downloads on iPhone, so hopes must be high that this success can be partially replicated on the challenging Android platform.

The Apple versions have been very well supported, with updates including new blades, backgrounds, and fruit. A whole new Arcade mode is in the works, too, all of which should make its way over to Android at some point.

Fruit Ninja is available now on the Android Market for $0.99, which works out at £0.64 at today’s exchange rate. We’ll bring you a review soon.
