Predators for iPhone drops to 59p/99c
If the price bleeds, we can buy it
The film might not have had the same impact on the movie-going populace as the B-movie action original, but the iPhone game of Predators managed to make more of a splash with the App Store public with its solid twin-stick shooting action.
Awarded a well-deserved Pocket Gamer Bronze Award back in July, Predators (or rather, Robert Rodriguez presents Predators, if you’re a stickler for details) puts the player in control of one the titular hunters as it decimates soldiers and the film’s cast.
There are the usual twin-stick features like a structured mission mode, and a more hectic Survival and mini-boss fights to conquer. Unlike in other games, Predators’s enemies tend to react differently depending on their weapons or their state of mind, meaning that troops will cower in fear should you be a bit too good at your job.
The current reduction from £1.79 / $2.99 to 59p / 99c looks to be a permanent fixture as there’s no mention of the drop on the App Store, so you can stalk this prey for as long as it takes.
