New levels, characters, power-ups, and achievements make better happy time

Crazy Japanese-themed twin-stick shooter Meow Meow Happy Fight has received a massive new update that adds a healthy extra dollop of madcap shooting to the deranged game.

Along with the six extra levels in a Sumida Arcade and three weapons, the update also adds new achievements and three new characters to the roster – Maneki Neko, Lantern, and Magazine.

Meow Meow Happy Fight scored a delirious Pocket Gamer Bronze Award two weeks ago and was praised for its interesting, off-the-wall approach to the overcrowded twin-stick shooting genre.

UPDATE - Big Pixel Studios is offering the chance of having your own character designs featured in later updates to the game, as well as a free iTunes voucher for the top three entries.
