Tilt to Live on iPhone, a crazy score-racking shooter controlled entirely by rocking your device, is one of the better games to upscale onto the giant real estate of the iPad.

Developer One Man Left Studios agrees, and will be releasing Tilt to Live HD, exclusively for Apple’s tablet beauty, next month. The game features every weapon and all the game types from this popular iPhone and iPod touch game, but rendered in high resolution graphics and played in massive play areas - four times the size of the original’s battlegrounds.

It also features leaderboards, achievements and tilt controls optimised for the iPad.

Interestingly, the game features a rather unique payment system. The download will be free, and features one gametype (Classic Mode) and four weapons (nuke, blastwave, cluster missiles, and ice blast). If you like what you see, you can cough up £2.39 / $3.99 / €2.99 through an in-app purchase and nab the rest of the game.

It’s potentially a way to ward off piracy, as yucky illegal game downloaders haven’t figured out how to bootleg in-app purchases.

Tilt to Live HD is planned for release on iPad next month. See the full, high definition screenshots in the gallery above.
