Angry Birds squawk contest winner announced
Gulls just want to have fun
A couple of weeks ago, Angry Birds publisher Chillingo ran a competition to win a 32GB iPod touch and a $100 iTunes gift card (formerly a 32GB 3G iPad). And – technical issues allowing - to provide a squawk for the next Angry Birds update.
There followed on Chillingo's Facebook wall a stream of videos of exhibitionists making strange noises in a bid for a kind of immortality.
A winner has been found.
Alison Eales is a 30-year-old university administrator and soon to be music student who lives in the rumbustious city of Glasgow. iPhone 4 is her favourite gaming platform, although she's also partial to Rock Band on PS3.
Her costume and squawk were inspired by the ferocious seagulls that rip food out of bins near her house by the river Clyde.
Congratulations to Alison, whose squawk can be enjoyed below in illustrated form, and hopefully in the next Angry Birds update.
