Madden 11 launches a Hail Mary into the New Zealand end zone

On its iPhone debut last season, EA’s monster sports franchise Madden NFL 10 collected an impressive Silver Award from Pocket Gamer’s resident quarterback Tracy Erickson.
Fans of the long-running American football series will be delighted to read that the sequel, effortlessly named Madden NFL 11, has jinked and juked its way onto the New Zealand App Store.
Available for both iPhone and iPad, Madden NFL 11 brings a host of new features to entice and excite.
Whilst Total Defensive Control and expanded Hot Routes afford the gamer more flexibility in the heat of the action, GameFlow speeds up matches by kindly suggesting the most appropriate plays for your offensive or defensive line between downs.
For all those concerned, iPhone 4’s Retina display IS supported in Madden NFL 11 (check out the latest images in the gallery to your right for proof). EA has also confirmed that roster updates will be available for free at key moments.
Rather bizarrely, Bluetooth head-to-head multiplayer is available at launch on iPhone, but not on iPad. EA promises that this feature will be rolled out in an update soon.
To compensate, perhaps, the iPad version will receive a 'vintage voltage football' multiplayer mini-game in the not-too-distant future.
Madden NFL 11 should be out for iPhone and iPad from around midnight GMT, and if I were a betting man I’d put my mortgage on the game costing £5.99 and £7.49 respectively.
