HTC Evo4G (sort of) coming to Europe

HTC Desire HD/Ace popping up all over the place

HTC Evo4G (sort of) coming to Europe

Our American cousins have been enjoying the delicious HTC Evo 4G since the beginning of June, the lucky blighters. Rumours are now stirring about a European model – or something similar, at least.

A device has been snapped in the wild (courtesy of Uwants) that resembles the Evo, as well as HTC’s WinMo-powered HD2.

The device (dubbed the HTC Desire HD or the HTC Ace) apparently features the same 4.3-inch capacitive display as both aforementioned devices. It also boasts the Evo’s 8MP camera (capable of shooting 720p HD video) and 1GHz Snapdragon processor. Naturally, it runs the latest version of Android, 2.2 (or FroYo).

The device has cropped up on Vodafone Germany’s inventory, hopefully pointing to a wider European release.

Following the release of Samsung’s Galaxy S, I don’t think there can be too many humongous Android super-phones on the market.
