iPod touch 4G camera rumours resurface
|

The fourth-generation iPod touch will probably be announced in September, because September is when new iPod touchs are always announced. And it's probably going to have a camera, because that's what all the rumours indicate.

A camera-toting iPod touch was outed in May by Vietnamese tech site Tinh te, and then it was included on a Powerpoint presentation by John Lewis in July, who claimed its information was based on “noises we're hearing from suppliers.”

Now, just a month away from the device's expected due date, the iPod touch 4G has once again surfaced in the form of an image supplied by a case manufacturer to Hardmac. The image shows a rounded back with a camera in the top-left corner, but no front-facing camera, exploding John Lewis's prediction that the iPod touch will let you indulge in FaceTime conversations.

As for whether Pocket Gamer's own Rumour Miner is correct in predicting that the iPod touch 4G will boast a Retina display, the images aren't crisp enough to give anything away, so we'll have to wait and see.
