The Droid 2 is, as its sequel-tastic name suggests, the follow-up to last year’s Droid (also known as the Milestone).

It looks fairly similar, but will feature such enhancements as a much more powerful (1GHz) processor and Android version 2.2.

The phone’s manual has just been leaked, helping those who’ve never touched an Android phone before to find their way around. Check out the full booklet (courtesy of Droid Life) by clicking on the picture section.

Beyond that, there are one or two interesting points for the discerning Android fan. For one thing, the manual confirms the presence of Swype on the virtual keypad, which allows you to type using flowing sweeps rather than staccato jabs.

Or you could just use the physical keyboard. Just saying.

Rumours place the Droid 2’s US release at around August 12th. Hopefully the UK equivalent will see some proper operator support this time around.
