Zenonia 2 clocks up five million player versus player sessions
Peak usage is up to 100,000 sessions in a day
It only seems like mid-April that Korean publisher Gamevil was letting us know that its iPhone and iPad RPG Zenonia 2 had clocked up one million player versus player sessions. Of course, that's because that's exactly what Gamevil was doing in mid-April.
Three months on, and the growth rate seems to be accelerating; the total's up to five million sessions.
Come togetherThe PvP Arena is an area where players can upload their characters and play asynchronously against other players. Gamevil says the average player that has accessed the arena at least once, has gone on to play at least 50 sessions.
The peak total for the game (so far) is 100,000 sessions in a single day.
It's not just about fighting though as Gamevil has recently added in-app purchases so user can buy and share new items to customise their characters. And customising characters leads to showing them off.
More than 20,000 posts have been made on Gamevil's forum with users trading items and showing off their outfits.
Spreading the love"We'll choose user quality over user quantity any day." says Kyu Lee, head of Gamevil USA. "These numbers show how loyal and active our fans are, and providing what these users need and deserve is where we place our main focus."
In August, the company plans to release another large update, with lots of additional items, as well as rolling out the game for Android.
Zenonia 2 costs $4.99, €3.99 or £2.99. You can find out more information from the game's website.
