Flick Kick Football update adds Bullseye mode, Retina display and iPad version 'very soon'

You'd be forgiven for thinking that Flick Kick Football is just a flash-in-the-pan game designed to capitalise on the FIFA World Cup, but it's actually rather good. Doing away with the scrimmage of football in favour of screen-swiping, ball-swerving free kicks, it's a perfect one-thumb casual game.

If you've already got it on your iPhone or iPod touch, that red sign on your App Store icon is the 1.1 update, and it adds a whole extra mode, Bullseye, which places targets of various sizes in the goal and challenges you to hit as many as you can against the clock.

The update also lets you double-tap to skip slow motion sequences or turn these sequences off altogether; fixes various minor bugs; and adds achievements and leaderboards.

In the product notes for the update developer PikPok also reveals that Flick Kick Football is about to get a Retina display update, and an iPad version is coming 'VERY SOON!'

(Capitals the author's own.)

Flick Kick Football 1.1 is on the App Store now for 59p / 99c.
