Companies still talk about "incredible visuals that push PSP to its limits" apparently. At least that's the deal with Square Enix's just announced fantasy slasher Lord of Arcana.

Reading down the feature lists, it appears a little generic however.

Gameplay-wise, it's a melee combat slasher that's described as being 'simple yet rewarding', with the variation provided by new skills and items such as armour and weapons.

For example, you can create various weapons from thousands of different available combinations. Customisation also extends to in-game avatars.

Come one and all

The game is also open in terms of player numbers, so you can experience it solo, or add in up to three friends using the adhoc multiplayer mode.

Hopefully what will make Lord of Arcana stand out from the pack is the character designs, with the many monsters the result of the collaboration of world-renowned artists.

It will also be backed with downloadable content in terms of new missions.

There's no release date yet for Lord of Arcana but you can register for more information at the game's website.
