More developers are fawning over the 3DS, and making their love for the device, and intention to develop games for it, public.

Warren Spector - Epic Mickey

Take Warren Spector, the Junction Point designer who’s put aside a history of deep games like Deus Ex and Thief to tackle Disney’s superstar in the Wii’s Epic Mickey. “The 3DS changed my life,” Spector wrote on his blog. “I just want to say I’ve been completely wrong about 3D all my life.”

He claims that “Nintendo got 3D right – righter than anyone else. Ever. By far.” By losing the glasses, chucking on a slider for 3D depth control and not losing any colour saturation in the jump from 2D to 3D, Spector thinks that this is how 3D visuals can impress everyone. “The 3D effect is basically perfect. I mean PERFECT.”

Thanks to the 3DS, Spector believes that 3D is not a fad and it isn’t going away any time soon. "Nintendo deserves to sell a gazillion of these things." His excitement isn’t limited to purchasing the device, though, saying “As a game developer, well, sign me up for that, too.” The veteran game developer says “how could anyone NOT want to play with this tech?”

Junction Point blog Yoot Saito - Seaman

Yoot Saito is a pretty wacky designer, the sort of guy who thought tactical military simulation and pinball were a match made in heaven (Odama, GameCube), or that Leonard Nemoy should narrate the story of a half-man, half-fish (Seaman, Dreamcast)

A stalwart Seaman fan asked Saito, via Twitter, if the game would come to 3DS. The designer replied that, while he can’t get into specifics, he hinted that the Tweeter should keep on hoping for the game on 3DS.

Not a confirmation of Seaman 3DS, but a pretty strong hint if you ask us.

Andriasang Koji Igarashi - Castlevania

Since Symphony of the Night, Igarashi has worked as producer on just about every Castlevania game. Now he’s got a 3DS dev kit, and he’s up for making games for it.

He couldn’t confirm Castlevania 3DS, but with Konami getting on board with the device (including games in the Contra, Frogger, and Metal Gear franchises), it doesn’t seem much of a stretch.

His 3D based ideas are still in their infancy, though, so don’t expect any Igarashi love on 3DS at launch.
