Sony announces PSP offers for June

The US PlayStation blog has announced a litany of incentives for PSP and PSPgo owners, and those yet to invest in the hardware.

First up is the new ‘Favourites’ software line, which looks to operate in much the same way as the Platinum range, re-publicising popular games. First party titles in this range will initially include:

• Ape Escape: On the Loose
• Buzz! Master Quiz
• Hot Shots Golf Open Tee
• LocoRoco 2
• Patapon 2
• PixelJunk Monster Deluxe
• SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo
• Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow
• Twisted Metal: Head On

Sony has also partnered with a number of third-party developers, bolstering the line up with:

• Justice League Heroes
• Manhunt 2
• Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play
• Pinball Hall of Fame: Williams Collection
• Silent Hill: Origins
• Sims 2
• The Warriors

All titles in this range will cost just $9.99, and further additions are to be announced.

Taking this concept and running with it, Sony is also introducing a ‘Greatest Hits’ collection, which includes Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet, Resistance: Retribution, Secret Agent Clank, all priced at $19.99.

Finally, if not owning a PSP is making you feel left out, purchasing one between now and 31st March 2011 will net buyers a PSN voucher worth $80 which will entitle the bearer to three free games. The ‘Digital Game Pack’, (see pics in the image gallery) includes premium titles, as in the case of the similar ten free game offer for European purchasers.
