CoD: World At War: Zombies to get new map on iPhone

Players of one of Pocket Gamer's official top ten iPhone FPSes Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies will soon be able to frag and tag a fresh batch of enemies across brand new terrain.

Soon, the Shi No Numa (or 'swamp of doom') map pack is released for Apple's portables, offering shooters the chance to take aim at two new undead foes: Japanese soldiers and Hellhounds.

Whilst the Japanese zombies closely resemble their console counterparts, the Hellhounds, best described as deadly dog-like monsters, have had their noses clipped slightly to compensate for the modest processing power of the iPhone.

This second slice of DLC, following on from the Verruckt (or 'crazy', if you like) pack released back in February, is an altogether larger affair.

So large, in fact, that a Zipline is required to cross certain areas.

Navigating round this vast swamp you'll need an arsenal of new weapons, of course.

Whilst the Arisaka is a standard issue rifle of little interest, the Wunderwaffe (or 'miracle weapon' - I knew this German degree would come in handy eventually) DG-2 Tesla lightning gun is the "pinnacle of secret Nazi technology" and mighty good fun.

Defensive options are plenty, too, in the shape of new traps, which are accessible to the four now playable characters featured in the original tutorial.

The Shi No Numa pack will be available as an in-app purchase on the 12th or 13th June for owners of the original game for $4.99.

If you haven't bought this CoD spin-off yet, you will be able to choose between two flavours, one containing the Verruckt map and one with the Shi No Numa pre-installed.
