Puzzle Quest 2 confirmed for iPhone and iPad

Puzzle Quest 2, a spongy base of Bejewelled with a heavy sprinkling of RPG, will be coming to iPhone and iPad in the months following its DS release.
According to GamePro, a Namco representative said the game will hit Apple's fleet of devices in an "end of fall/early winter" timeframe.
The game lands on Nintendo DS in America on June 22nd. Pocket Gamer asked Namco's UK PR for a date this side of the Atlantic, who told us "the release date is currently slated for August but [we] don’t have a firm date yet."
The original Puzzle Quest is currently available on the iPhone and iPod touch, for £2.99 / $4.99 / €3.99.
