Nintendo DS will soon be the best selling console of all time

The Nintendo DS will have outsold the PlayStation 2 by the end of the year, analysts are predicting.

With 129 million units sold worldwide over the last five and a half years, the DS will soon be the best-selling console of all time.

NPD analyst Anita Frazier predicts that the DS will overtake the PS2 in terms of sales "by October or November".

Despite sales of the Nintendo DS slowing down over the past year, it was still the best-selling games console in April, selling 440,800 units.

If Satoru Iwata gets the DS game hit he recently said he was looking for, we may see the console achieve this record even sooner.
