First screenshots of DSiWare's Hero of Sparta

Hero of Sparta, Gameloft's popular Persian brawler that's been seen on PSP, iPhone and mobile, will make its next leap to DSiWare, with a unique version for Nintendo's downloadable service.

Like God of War mixed in with the movie 300, Hero of Sparta has you playing King Argos (not the catalogue shop), as he beats down mythical creatures throughout the land with an arsenal of deadly weapons.

Because it's a Gameloft game, and because it's a DSiWare game, Hero of Sparta will feature the usual camera mini-game. This time, it tasks you with doing your best Gerad Butler impression, so the game can slap your mug on a piece of artwork. Joy of joys.

No word on its release yet, but keep your eyes peeled on Pocket Gamer – we'll let you know.
