Apple sells one million iPads
|

On Friday, April 30th, Apple sold its one millionth iPad, just 28 days after the wonder tablet went on sale in the United States.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs has noted that the iPhone took 74 days to achieve the same milestone, back in September of 2007.

Apple's littered its press release with huge numbers: iPad users have grabbed over 12 million apps and over 1.5 million ebooks. There are also over 5,000 apps that are iPad specific, outside of the 200,000 iPhone apps that'll run on the tablet.

The iPad will be released in Europe at the end of May, pre-orders for the device begin May 10th.
