No cap on the publisher's plans

Plants vs. Zombies HD on iPad might soon be joined by one or two more PopCap titles if an email sent by mobile business development director Andrew Stein is to be believed.

Responding to an enquiry made by Touch Arcade about whether the studio has any plans to bring some of its other franchises to Apple's new device – the likes of Peggle, Chuzzle and Bejeweled all named by the site – Stein as good as confirmed that some, if not all, of the publisher's other series will soon be hitting iPad.

"We are working on other iPad adaptations of some of our leading franchises," he said in the email, "so it's probably safe to say that at least one of the games you cite will eventually make its way to Apple's latest device."

Given the undoubted warm reception given Plants vs. Zombies on both iPhone and iPad – and, indeed, the gold award handed out by our very own Tracy – it seems likely PopCap won't have to wait long before fans begin to clamour for further HD outings by the studio.
