This is going to hurt

Last weekend saw the release of the anticipated iPhone and iPod touch tie-in game for the Kick-Ass movie.

It was only available on the App Store for a brief period of time however before terrible reviews, due to its generally unfinished state, saw it removed.

Developer Frozen Codebase confirmed this was because a beta version of the game had been released by mistake.

As I found out playing the version, it really wasn't very good, with technical and gameplay issues making it a short and very unsweet experience.

Now an updated version is out, with changes noted as "Spanish localisation, Fixed crash, Added ability to play your own music, Took into consideration many user comments, Fixed control bugs."

Yet playing through the early levels suggests that the addition on pre-level cinematics and an increase of the difficultly level aside, not much has fundamentally changed.

Expect our review soon.
