Splinter Cell: Conviction sneaks onto mobiles

Splinter Cell: Conviction sneaks onto mobiles

Why is it that every secret agent seems to have a daughter that’s prone to being kidnapped?

Jack Bauer had one back in the early series of the TV show 24, Bryan Mills had one stolen in the film Taken, and now Sam Fisher, he of the three green-eyed goggles fame, seems to have misplaced his offspring.

Unlike me, however, Sam’s not going to sit around in a dark room quietly sobbing for a few weeks, praying she’s safe and trusting the authorities to get her back.

Convicted

Instead he’s going to travel across 13 levels from Malta to the White House, killing everyone and anyone who gets in his way. Actually, he'll probably even kill people that don’t get in his way, but just happen to be en route. He’s pretty hardcore like that.

Splinter Cell: Conviction takes the form of a side-scrolling action-stealth title with plenty of platforming, hanging from bars, and blasting goons in the back with a silenced pistol.

There’s also a number of QTE (Quick Time Events) during the cinematics to keep you on your toes, as well as the always-entertaining ability to grab someone and use them as a human shield should they get too close.

It’s one of our most anticipated games of 2010 and we’ll have a review of the title soon.
