Nun with guns slasher Twin Blades receives massive update

While looking polished and stylish, hack-and-slash brawler Twin Blades has been criticised as being a bit shallow; style over substance and all that.

Developer Press Start has now answered its critics with this massive, free update for the iPhone version of Twin Blades.

The patch replaces the loosely connected stages with a proper campaign mode, complete with a world map, a more coherent storyline and giant boss encounters.

There are also 10 new environments, discoverable at different times of the day or night, long range weapons and upgradable skills that can be bought or trained. If that wasn't enough, it now features OpenFeint support for leaderboards and achievements.

If you own Twin Blades, just head to your app collection in iTunes and click the "updates available" button at the bottom of the window.

If you don't already own the game, you can buy it now to get the new content. It's available for iPhone and iPod touch, priced £1.79, $2.99 or €2.39.
