Vampire Origins sees the light of day on iPhone
Survival horror finally shows us its fangs
Here's something to sink your teeth into.
Vampire Origins, the oft-delayed survival horror game from developer IceHill and publisher Chillingo, has finally drawn blood on iPhone.
After being cast into the underworld by Valafar, Lord of the Vampires, Vincent returns to the mortal realm to rid the once peaceful world of the vampire plague.
Impressive 3D environments are on offer, with a dark, gloomy atmosphere giving the experience a very gothic feel. The hand-drawn cutscenes also look the part.
The vampire hordes can be fended off by tapping to attack with a range of weapons, although a number of boss battles will require special techniques.
The game features two different methods of control - a dual-stick style similar to Xbox and PlayStation console controllers, and a touchscreen interface, focusing more on tapping appropriately.
The main story is made up of three stages, and there's also a Survival Mode on offer in which you take out zombies until you can take no more.
