Now that the App Store has started displaying iPad games early, a flaming bag of iPad news has hit the fan, and steaming hot data is everywhere. The next few days are going to see innumerable announcements, revelations, and leaks, but this one is amongst the more significant for the existing iPhone gaming massive.
Angry Birds, the pig-smashing casual game currently at number one in the UK App Store, is now available on iPad in the form of Angry Birds HD.
According to the blurb on the App Store listing, the eponymous angry birds are 'more malevolent than ever' in this HD outing. The game boasts optimised visuals and, of course, a larger playing area, which potentially takes care of the central issue we had with the original iPhone version - the randomness.

Angry Birds HD costs £2.99, some five times as much as the iPhone version.
