Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies infecting iPad

Popular shooter optimised for iPad's larger screen

Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies infecting iPad

Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies was released to everyone's surprise on iPhone and iPod touch in November 2009 and new of its spreading to iPad is just as unexpected.

Activision has prepared the game in time for the iPad launch on Saturday, April 3 reports AppAdvice.

Staying true to its zombie-killing roots, the game tests how long you can survive against a never-ending onslaught of undead. The higher resolution should provide you with a little more room to manoeuvre.

The game comes packaged with two maps: Night of the Undead and Zombie Asylum. No word on future in-app downloads, though it seems likely.

The information leaked from the App Store guarantees wi-fi multiplayer, but 3G is out. That's all as well considering the initial batch of iPad devices don't support 3G networks.

Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies will be available for iPad on April 3 at a price of $14.99; the iPhone and iPod touch version (shown in screenshots above) is available now for $9.99.
