James Mielke, producer at Q Entertainment, has slammed the new 3DS console on Twitter (warning: contains strong language), calling it ‘impossible for anyone other than Nintendo to make money on’.

He went on to describe the existence of backwards compatibility as meaning the 3DS would use ‘RAM-based media’, summing this up with a hearty ‘LOL’ before clarifying the point with, ‘have fun making those big game experiences for little profit dev/publishers!’

It wasn’t all bad-mouthing Nintendo’s latest device, though, as he predicts there will be ‘long lines [queues] on 3DS launch day’.

Alas, this will be ‘despite the fact that the (only) launch title will be Tinkle 3D: You Can’t Stop Mr. Tinkle Pants.’ I suspect it’s a single-player game.

Q Entertainment is possibly best known for the excellent puzzle/dance hybrid title Lumines, which first appeared as a launch title on the Sony PSP, and has subsequently been ported to almost every modern gaming system, but not the DS.
