WePad: German iPad competitor risks incontinence jokes
|

As expected, the announcement of the iPad has catalysed other companies to announce competitors, the latest of which is the WePad.

Developed by German company Neofonie, the WePad boasts impressive specs that exceed those of the iPad, including a 1.66Ghz processor, 1.3 Megapixel webcam, and Flash compatibility.

The device is targeting both Apple's tablet and Amazon's Kindle, but its impressive power and larger screen (11.6 inch), coupled with the burgeoning Android Marketplace and open source standards, mean that gamers should take note.

Apple probably will, particularly if it's competitively priced.

Take a closer look at the specifications on TechCrunch.
