The winners of the IGF Mobile competition have been announced, and Tiger Style's Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor has been named the best iPhone game, beating Drop7 and Hook Champ in its category. Honourable mentions were given to Doodle Jump, Minigore, and Pocket God.

Tiger's acclaimed spider sim lost out to Glow Artisan in the Best Mobile Game Design category, however, along with side-scrolling shooter Mini Squadron.

Oddball puzzler Ancient Frog received honourable mentions in both the Achievement in Art and Best Mobile Game Design categories, but failed to make a shortlist. Stair Dismount, Secret Exit's follow up to Zen Bound, won in the Best Technical Achievement category.

Interestingly, none of the games in the IGF shortlists made it into Pocket Gamer's shortlist for its recent inaugural awards. As the man says, the world don't move to the beat of just one drum.
