IUGO game no longer available on US App Store

Apple pulls sexually suggestive shooter Daisy Mae's Alien Buffet from sale

Daisy Mae's Alien Buffet has been pulled from sale on the App Store, just days after it had been approved by Apple.

Developer IUGO confirmed that the iPhone and iPod touch game had been removed from the App Store in a post to Twitter.

"RIP Daisy Mae. Too hot for Apple. What a bummer."

The game's sexually suggestive wardrobe - Daisy's default costume consists of a tight t-shirt and mini-skirt, while other more scandalous outfits can be unlocked through the course of the game - is likely the reason for removal.

Apple recently reiterated a pledge to curb the release of apps deemed to have sexually explicit content. Previously, this had been applied to obviously pornographic apps such as nude photo puzzle games.

Daisy Mae's Alien Buffet is not overtly pornographic, though IUGO describes the ability to wear "sassy costume" while shooting as aliens.

Halter tops are apparently too hot to handle.

No word yet on whether IUGO plans to resubmit the game with content changes. In the meantime, those with a copy of this oh so salacious title should consider yourselves lucky.
