Distinctive prepare to slide Ice Hockey Nations 2010 onto iPhone
Relive those cold wars
With a back catalogue including years of making FIFA mobile for EA, as well as its own Rugby Nations on iPhone amongst others, UK developer Distinctive is well placed for its next move of sports simulation.
Ice Hockey Nations 2010 is a 6-on-6 game that's been made with help from the Sheffield Scimitars ice hockey team, who have been motion captured to provide realistic animations.
In order to avoid expensive licences, games will be played between 14 national teams, while the modes are quick play, practice, tournament and league game.
As you can see from the screenshots, controls come with a virtual D-pad and two control buttons for passing and shooting.
You can also make line changes at the touch of a button, and features such as sin-bin and powerplays are included.
A secret on-ice beat-'em up mini-game has been rumoured (by me now), but sadly not confirmed.
Ice Hockey Nations 2010 will be launched during March 2010 at price of $4.99, €3.99 or £2.99.
