iPad iteration of strategy game Galcon likely
High definition remastering of iPhone original
Intergalactic real-time strategy game Galcon will assuredly deploy to iPad, a spokesperson for independent developer Phil Hassey has confirmed with us.
Speaking about the recent release of Galcon Fusion for PC, wife Nanno Hassey explained tentative plans to port the game to iPad following its March launch.
"Galcon Fusion is a hi-def port of iPhone Galcon that is likely to be ported to the iPad," she told us.
That's great news given how much we enjoyed the original Galcon on iPhone and iPod touch.
Even more promising is the fact that Galcon is precisely the type of game we see has having the greatest chance for success on the bigger iPad.
Underwhelming first impressions of N.O.V.A. and Need for Speed: Shift have us eager to see games that can be played with the device laid flat or rested in a lap. Galcon seems an ideal candidate.
