Tales of Monkey Island on the slate for iPad?

Telltale Games tells a tall tablet tale

Tales of Monkey Island on the slate for iPad?

The all new Guybrush Threepwood series Tales of Monkey Island has been going down a storm with PC gamers, with much of the enchanting humour and engaging gameplay that made Secrets of Monkey Island such a classic.

Developer Telltale Games has now announced that it'll be releasing a Mac compatible version of the Tales at the beginning of February, which will have aging Apple fan-boys jumping for joy.

And although Telltale isn't telling any tall tales about further iPhone or iPad conversions just yet, it did say it was looking to expand its catalogue of hot IPs to "as many platforms as possible".

Considering the success of Secrets of Monkey Island on iPhone and the clear suitability of the iPad for 3D adventures like Tales of Monkey Island, Strong Bad and Sam & Max, it'd be madness if Telltale wasn't planning to get these games out onto Apple's new tablet as part of its new Mac push.

Watch this space - we're confident we'll have more to report on the matter soon.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
