If Apple CEO Steve Jobs said to you, "This will be the most important thing I’ve ever done," what would you assume he's talking about?

Well, according to TechCrunch, this is exactly what the man behind Apple has been heard escaping from Jobs's excited lips on the eve of the rumoured announcement of the Big Apple large-form iPhone.

The report also suggests that senior executives at Cupertino and friends of the technological pioneer have never seen Steve Jobs so excited, which is saying quite a lot given his past achievements.

We must admit to feeling the iSlate anticipation quite tangibly now, especially if it turns out that the iPhone and iPod touch were just a test for a bigger, more able touchscreen phenomenon. We'll hopefully know more tomorrow.
