In a recent interview with Asahi Shimbun newspaper, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata reportedly revealed about the next DS that "it will be necessary to have a sensor with the ability to read the movements of people playing."

However, Nintendo of America's senior director of corporate communications Charlie Scibetta revealed in a statement today that, "Mr Iwata did not make any comments regarding the functions of Nintendo's future hardware systems," and that Mr Iwata's statements were 'misinterpreted'.

Whether or not this is the case, it makes sense for Nintendo to attempt to get both media and public focus back on the soon-coming DS XL.
