Fresh details on the iPhone version of The Sims 3: World Adventures

We've known that The Sims 3: World Adventures would be coming to iPhone and iPod touch since last autumn, but EA Mobile is finally providing specific details on the game's handheld iteration.

Instead of being a sequel, the game is a standalone expansion pack. This means you're able to play the game without having to purchase The Sims 3.

The game all revolves around international hijinks that take your sim - which can be imported from the original game or created from scratch in World Adventures - to sim-themed places such as Al Simhara, Champs les Sims, and Shang SimLa.

EA enumerated 52 new goals, 4 mini-games, and additional personas, careers, and quests to be offered in the game.

Additionally, new furniture, clothing, and face types will be available. No word of whether in-app purchases will be supported for buying these items.

A release date hasn't been set, but given that game was released on PC in November it's not hard to imagine The Sims 3: World Adventures appearing on the App Store very soon.
