A new Sonic mobile game has been released - hooray! But it’s only available in Japan - boo.

According to Gaijin Gamer, Sonic Bowling is the latest offering on the Puyo Puyo! SEGA service, which gives you unlimited access to a number of Sega games for 315 yen (£2) per month.

The game itself lets you play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, or Cream the Rabbit as you take part in bowling-related challenges set by Dr Eggman. Those lucky Japanese players can also upload their best scores to see how they match up to each other.

As for the chances of a western release, we hope that Sega strikes upon the idea when it gets a spare minute, but we wouldn’t pin our hopes on it at this stage.

Sorry.
