Capcom reveals port of original

iPhone version of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on the docket

Gaming's legal eagle is returning to the courtroom, this time on iPhone and iPod touch with a port of the original Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

Capcom made the announcement at an Apple store in Japan, which was reported by Andriasang via Famitsu.

Takeshi Tezuka who heads up Capcom's mobile division claims the game goes beyond a simple port, touting new flick controls for the adventure.

Exactly how a change in controls makes it more than a port remains unclear, particularly when tweaks to the interface are required to make the game run on iPhone from the original Game Boy Advance release (note the game was available in Japan on GBA, then on DS later on in the West).

We're hoping the iPhone and iPod touch version is based on the enhanced DS edition, which includes microphone support and more.

No objections from us if we're allowed to yell "objection!" loudly while playing on the train.

Capcom says to expect Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on the App Store soon. A price has not been announced.
