New multiplayer update for Modern Combat: Sandstorm on the iPhone

The Pocket Gamer spies have been out in force and discovered that the new multiplayer update for Modern Combat: Sandstorm is imminent on the App Store.
As one would expect, the update includes both a local multiplayer and online multiplayer modes - both of which support Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch for up to four players - and fully integrated Gameloft Live support.
As yet it’s not known how many multiplayer maps will be included in the update, but after the somewhat mixed reception of Eliminate earlier this month here’s hoping that Gameloft can finally provide a decent gaming experience worthy of the multiplayer deathmatch crown.
The update has been submitted to the App Store and is currently waiting for approval by Apple.
