Publisher Javaground has got in touch to let us know about its next big game, The Inferno, which we’re assured has the quality to make it into the Top 100 of the App Store.

From the load screens to the font choice, the Diablo undertones are strong. The game sees you take the role of Dante, the heartbroken hero of the story, as he begins his journey through The Five Circles of Hell.

The Inferno is not for the fainted hearted, as on your way you'll encounter fire pits, filth infested waters, and frozen wastelands.

Gameplay takes the form of a top-down action puzzle game where the aim of each level is to collect the souls of the damned whilst avoiding various pitfalls and enemies in order to finish the game in the shortest time possible.

It's described by the developer as, “Frogger meets The World’s Hardest Game.” And, with one hundred and eleven levels and two different endings depending on how long you take to complete the game, it appears that The Inferno has a lot to offer.

The Inferno also comes with multiple power-ups to utilise, achievements to earn, online leaderboards, and Twitter and Facebook support which, all things considered, means that Javaground is convinced it's onto a winner.

Expect an exclusive preview of this hellish title as it rears its demonic head from the fiery pits of hell (steady - ed) sometime next week.
