The Fallen King gets back up again

Ravensword: The Fallen King rises on iPhone

Pegged as the Elder Scrolls for the iPhone, Ravensword: The Fallen King has been one of the most anticipated App Store games for the last few months.

It hit a stumbling block recently when problems with the Unity engine (which Crescent Moon Games used to build the game) were highlighted that posed a privacy threat. Ravensword was pulled along with a few other Unity-built games, despite not actually being involved with these issues.

Anyway, Apple is surprisingly good at fast-tracking games that have met with approval problems and Ravensword: The Fallen King is already back on the App Store.

The game puts you in the middle of a vast, 3D sandbox world and in control of a high-fantasy story filled with swords, sandals, magic and conspiracy that'll take you hours to unravel.

Spatial 3D sound effects also promise to bring this epic RPG to life (headphones at the ready, warrior) while a host of operational tweaks will help you to get the game running as beautifully and efficiently as possible on your device.

We'll have a full review of Ravensword: The Fallen King ready for you within the hour, so don't go far - maybe just to the App Store to pick up the game, listed at £3.99.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
