Zune HD gets new 3D game releases
Project Gotham Racing, Vans SK8, Audiosurf: Tilt
Just the other day Microsoft rolled out a 4.3 update for the iPod touch competition, the Zune HD, which was believed to herald the launch of the quality portable gaming we've been hoping for.
CasualGaming reports that a handful of those next-gen handheld games have just arrived for the powerhouse portable player, including previously announced Project Gotham Racing: Ferrari Edition, Lucky Lane Bowling, Vans Sk8: Pool Service, Piano, Checkers and Audiosurf: Tilt.
All these games are apparently free to download, though most likely because a payment structure isn't yet in place.
Microsoft has been attempting to distance its device from Apple and its iPod touch, though quite frankly some stiff competition in this monopolised market would be very welcome, and Zune HD is the most capable contender yet.
We heard that the Zune HD is at least planning for a European release, though Microsoft is maintaining its strict policy of trying to keep everything to do with the Zune HD a secret, so no news yet.
