SOCOM US Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo 3 set for January deployment

Delayed release a result of marketing considerations

SOCOM US Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo 3 set for January deployment

SOCOM US Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo 3 will deploy January 12, the game's producer has confirmed.

Originally slated to roll out this month, the game has been pushed back to the start of the new year as part of a renewed marketing push.

Producer Mark Rogers explains, "We have decided to move the release and allow time to get the word out to everyone."

According to Rogers, visual materials necessary for the game's marketing weren't available until recently. As such, the decision to delay the game was made so as to provide enough time for marketing with those screenshots and videos.

He assures that the delay has nothing to do with development falling behind; on the contrary, it's on track for the new January release.

The decision to move back the release could have largely been a result of the game falling off the radar in recent months.

High profile first-party PSP games Gran Turismo, MotorStorm: Arctic Edge, and LittleBigPlanet may have cast a shadow over Fireteam Bravo 3, despite being deserving of attention.

SOCOM US Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo 3 will be available in the US on January 12, with a UK release still to be announced.
